		<description>When the Riegner family saw smoke several miles away from their Cathedral Pines subdivision home on the afternoon of May 15, 2002, &quot;we were concerned but not overly concerned,&quot; Mark Riegner recalled.   Mark and his wife Veronica had friends visiting, so they took them on a tour of  Prescott College  where Riegner teaches tropical ecology. He gathered important papers and photos to bring along and leave at the college for safekeeping, since he was preparing for another work trip to Costa Rica.</description>

Clawson was first on the scene of the Indian fire that day. He immediately tried to evacuate campers and the camp host at Indian Creek Campground, which was directly in the line of the raging fire.</description>
